Dear reader,
I’m so glad you have received my invitation to join me on my adventure!
Some of you may have heard of this part in my story, but for some reason, I can’t stop talking about it, how great is that? God has given me an opportunity to serve him overseas, a chance not all of us get. So forgive me if you’ve started to get annoyed with my constant sharing of what God’s doing in my life, it’s my favorite thing to talk about.
I have been given the amazing chance to go on a Missions trip called the World Race. The tour will run for 11 months starting this upcoming January. Lord-willing I will be traveling to 11 different countries in that time frame. All the countries I’ll be traveling to are not completely known at this point in time. Which is another part of the grand adventure I think, right?
When you give God your life to use how He sees fit, it doesn’t matter the where or the when. The “What” is “Go and make disciples”.
I think that is exactly what I shall do.
On the journey, I will be getting the opportunity to serve in many different ministry capacities. Such as Evangelism, Children and Camping Ministries, Church Planting, Teaching English, and Trekking Ministry as well, I’m sure there will be many more different ways I’ll be called to serve in the moment overseas.
During The World Race, I will face many trials and challenges, all of them slowly refining me into the follower of Christ I am being called to be. My First Task has been presented to me as soon as I was accepted into the program…
“How am I going to get there?”
This is where you come in. As the body of Christ, I ask you to accept this invitation to support me as I go and accept the call that God is giving me this upcoming year.
First and foremost I ask for support in prayer. This will be a long journey, one I will not be walking alone, and I ask that you would strongly consider praying for me and my squad as we prepare to share the Gospel to every ear that is willing to hear this upcoming year. The Infinity War we all are fighting will be fought and won on our knees.
Secondly, I require financial support as well. I am choosing to walk by faith in this process knowing that God can and will provide for this journey if he is calling me to do so. My whole trip costs a grand total of $18,000, and the deadline to reach that goal is 4/30/2021.
I know that looks like a large amount of money, but it’s a good thing we serve an amazing God who sees that amount of money as pocket change. If you read one of my previous letters labeled “99 Days” I talk about a time I sat and spoke with God. I felt Him asking me to pray something big that day. So I sincerely asked,
“What if You funded my trip in 100 days?”
Now, that’s no small request. Do I need to be funded in 100 days? No, of course not. God can do whatever He chooses in His perfect timing. So I am going to walk in faith and pray that God’s will be done in His timing, and if that’s in 100 days I will rejoice in His faithfulness and goodness.
Here is my formal request. Would you and you’re friends, family, and church, pray together about supporting me as I go?
Thirdly, please share my story with everyone in your life who has a heart towards mission work. Your local church, youth groups, bible studies or community groups. Especially the person that God puts on your heart as you read this, please consider contacting them or send me their contact information so I can reach out to them, I would love to meet them!
You reading this invitation was not an accident. There are no coincidences. I 100% believe God brings the people together that He wants to do His will. And you might have been just sitting on the sideline, but I’m asking you to come and join the team and play your heart out.
You’re up to bat.
I look forward to connecting with you in the weeks to come, I pray God blesses you in this next chapter in all the ways you won’t see coming.
Until we get the pleasure to speak again,
– Mitchell Vine
