Dear readers,
I hope you are well as you read this letter. I’m writing to you today with a few prayer requests for these Next Three Days.
I am coming to the end of the 100 days. For those of you who don’t know what I mean by that allow me to bring you up to speed.
97 days ago I began the fundraising process for this World Race missionary trip, and the first thing I did was sit down and talk with God about how He wanted to go about it.
We talked for a long time that morning, due to the fact of my nervousness about going and asking people for money. As I was praying I heard a small voice that said “Pray something crazy today.”
I sat there and talked with God asking Him some questions, and praying through some thoughts that were rattling around in my head.
A couple of minutes went by and then I thought out loud, “God what if you fully funded my trip in 100 days?”
I sat in silence for a bit. Wondering if that was the prayer I was supposed to pray. I soon felt an overwhelming peace, I then told God that I would walk in obedience in any way He guided me, no matter how crazy I may think an idea is, I’ll do it if The Spirit leads me to.
I am so happy to announce that in the past 97 days God has raised $12,088!!
There is still $5,812 to raise.
But here’s the thing. I don’t expect God to fully fund my trip in three days. I know He can if He so chooses, and I’ve seen Him provide in some fantastic ways over these past few months. But is He going to do it?
I’ll know my answer in 3 days.
God actually blessed me yesterday, with a seasonal job that I’ll have for this last month that I’m here stateside as well to help provide for some last-minute gear and gas to travel around as He continues to send me places.
God has done nothing but provide for my needs exactly when the timing is perfect.
Here is where my requests come in.
I am asking you to pray right after you finish reading this letter. Ask God if you are part of my missionary story as far as support goes. And honestly and humbly ask for an answer.
If God doesn’t want you to support me financially, awesome! Don’t go against Him in that, but if you are willing and able to pray for the funds to still come in nonetheless I would be so grateful for that.
The second request I ask prayer for is to pray for me as I prepare my heart and body for missionary work. The launch day gets closer and closer each day, (41 days and counting…) and I ask that God would use this time here in the US to prepare me for what lies on the other side.
Lastly, I ask that you’d pray for my family and friends I will be leaving behind. That God would use me in their stories to build them up, love them well, and serve them with all that I have within me, and then some. That God would use me in any way He so chooses for His glory.
That is all that needed to be said for today.
I cannot wait to see what God does over these upcoming days, I hope you’ll join me in prayer over this request. The strength that comes with prayer in numbers is overwhelming.
